Romans 2:5
A military commander may change his mind and bark out the command, “About face,” and the troop changes course. This is Dr. Jay Quine reminding you of the word, “Repent”. The Bible uses the word “Repent” to first command a change in direction by changing your mind. “Repent,” asserted John the Baptist, “for the Kingdom of Heaven is at hand.” Heading the wrong direction? First change your mind about Christ. Repent by trusting in him alone for your salvation.
Now that you are safe and secure in Christ, reset the course of your life. Face the direction you are heading. Examine the impact you are making. Corrections in the course you are heading may be frequent. It requires many small changes of mind. About face!!! Repentance: not only a one time action, but durative; even frequent.
